Sheldon Sawyer House. 31 Main Street. Gray, Maine. Built c. 1900.
Pennell Institute. 24 Main Street. Gray, Maine. Now used as Town Hall. Built in 1876-86 using the Italianate Style, it housed the first high school in town. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Science Laboratory Building. Pennell Institute. Gray, Maine. Built in 1897 using the Italianate Style, the reasoning for separation from the main building is unusual. Experiments conducted there would not be a danger to occupants elsewhere.
Newbegin Hall. 22 Main Street. Gray, Maine. This was the gymnasium for Pennell Institute. It is now a community center. Built in 1936-37 as a WPA project using the Colonial Revival Style.
