Dense foliage within the forest
Ever on upward through the forest I go
This hike served up plenty of quality forest time
The ever so ubiquitous poison oak
A triad of arboreal giants
An impenetrable tangle of branches and tree trunks
Huge sugar pine cones littered the forest floor

Peace like a forest
Rose hips turn red as summer comes to an end
Paper-thin bark peels off a madrone tree
A peek to the farmlands below the mountain

Wow, I started the hike from down in the town of Wolf Creek

The Devils Knob Fire smoke plume was hiding behind the trees
And with one last look, I take my leave

I brake for madrones

Wolf Creek barely contained any water, it was drying up
